I’m a full-time professional Liverpool photographer providing corporate, commercial, event and portrait photography across Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire. Photography has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and so I decided to create Alison Dodd Photography in 2012 after working professionally with images since 1986, first in film and then in digital. I’ve been working in the photography and printing trade now for over thirty-nine years, having previously worked for well known catalogue companies and magazines.
As a mobile photographer, I can either bring my professional studio to you or provide location photoshoots depending on your requirements. I can visit your office, home, school or event, wherever works best for you. I cover a wide range of areas in the North West UK, from Liverpool, Southport & Formby, to Wirral, Chester & Warrington and all places in between.
I hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and carry comprehensive public liability, products liability and professional indemnity insurance. I’m rated five stars by all of my clients, and I pride myself on making every photoshoot as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, whether it’s a boardroom headshot or a newborn portrait at home.

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is meeting so many interesting people from all walks of professional life, from CEOs and entrepreneurs to authors, therapists, law firms and case management companies. I’m often asked to bring my mobile studio into offices and business premises across Liverpool and Merseyside. It’s far more practical than asking your whole team to travel to a studio, and it means your branding stays consistent throughout. I can work with a white, grey or black background and will always match a brief if you supply one in advance. I also offer corporate location headshots, using some of Liverpool’s most recognisable landmarks, such as the Pier Head and The Royal Albert Dock for backgrounds that make a great first impression.
For school and education photography, I cover everything from nursery and primary school through to sixth form colleges and universities, producing photography for prospectuses, websites and campaigns. I hold a current DBS certificate, so schools and colleges can book with complete confidence. I also cover a wide range of corporate events from conferences and business presentations to charity fundraisers and award ceremonies.

As a mum myself, I understand how quickly children grow and how precious those early years are. A professional family portrait is one of those things that you’ll treasure for generations, and I love being trusted to capture those moments. I can bring my professional mobile studio to your home; Either a high-key white background and professional studio lights set up in a clear space of around 8 x 11 feet, or we can head outside for a more relaxed, natural location photoshoot somewhere that means something to your family.
My newborn and baby photography is done entirely in the comfort of your own home, which puts babies and mums at ease from the very start. For children’s portraits, I try to make it fun and relaxed, capturing their true character as naturally as possible. And for graduation photography, I can capture the day itself in reportage style, or bring my studio to your home for something a little more formal. Whatever the occasion, I’ll make sure you have photographs you’re proud to display.

I am DBS checked, and can either bring my mobile photo studio to your home, or take more natural photos on location where kids can run free. I try to make kids photoshoots as relaxed as possible and show them having fun and being themselves.

Graduations are momentous occasions and deserve to be recorded properly. I can capture the fun during your graduation day using either reportage style photography for a location photoshoot. Or I can bring my mobile photo studio to your home for a more formal portrait session.

For your newborn & baby photos I bring the photo studio to you, using a professional mobile studio with white backdrop to give a modern clean fresh look. This is ideal for babies & newborns as they feel most at ease in their own environment, and ideal for mum as it all happens in the comfort of your own home.
